| Physical and Chemical Properties | A bright yellow monoclinic crystal. Density 6.12g/cm3, melting point 844. Insoluble in water, oil and acetic acid, soluble in strong alkali and inorganic acid. Hydrogen sulfide turned black and alkali turned orange-red. Color strength and hiding power. It cannot be shared with Lithopone and ultramarine. Toxic.
